01 / Applications

What you machine with a CNC mill for aluminium.

A compact format for workshops that need speed, accuracy and a small footprint.

A

Aluminium parts

Plates, brackets, housings and technical parts in aluminium: contours, pockets, slots and holes, with clean finishes.

B

Prototypes and small runs

12 μm positioning accuracy and part-to-part repeatability suit prototypes, simple molds and small series.

C

Other non-ferrous metals and plastics

The same machine can also process other non-ferrous metals and plastics, with tools and parameters suited to each material.

06 / FAQ

Frequently asked questions about CNC milling of aluminium.

Which CNC machine should I choose for aluminium?

For fast, accurate milling of aluminium parts, a compact machining center with a rigid frame, a high-speed spindle and an enclosure, such as the NCX 1050. For large plates or several materials in the same workshop, the NCM ranges with a 9 kW spindle are an alternative.

What does the full enclosure mean?

The machine has a full enclosure around the working zone (without a roof), which protects the operator from chips and allows safe high-speed milling. Chips are collected in a special tray under the machine.

What utilities do I need in my workshop?

380 V three-phase power at 32 A, dry compressed air at 8 bar with a minimum flow of 450 l/min (provided by the customer) and a working temperature between 15 °C and 35 °C. The machine measures 2300 x 1500 x 2100 mm and weighs 2500 kg, so check access and floor capacity too.

How much does a CNC machining center for aluminium cost?

The price depends on the configuration and the options chosen (rotary axis, probe, extended magazine, vacuum). We do not publish a fixed price; we send a custom quote after we discuss what parts you machine. The cost factors are explained in our price guide.

Do you offer installation, training and service?

Yes. We include installation and commissioning at your site, operator training, in-warranty and post-warranty service, calibration, refurbishment and a buy-back program. See the NC Mechanics services.
